Edward T.H. Yeh, MD, the "father of onco-cardiology" currently serves as chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of Missouri School of Medicine.

Leaders from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center recently announced the creation of the Edward T.H. Yeh, MD, Lectureship in Onco-Cardiology. Yeh is chair of the Department of Medicine at the MU School of Medicine and previously served as professor and founding chair of the Department of Cardiology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

“This lectureship has been created to commemorate Dr. Yeh as the founder of the field of onco-cardiology and recognize his many contributions while at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center,” said Ronald DePinho, MD, president of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Yeh will be the inaugural lecturer at the Fourth International Conference on Cancer and the Heart on Friday, Nov. 4.
